This is a box for transporting live fish by ordinary truck as opposed to a live fish transportation vehicle.
Compared with a live fish transportation vehicle, the Gyokatsu Box does not require extra labor and time to be expended for the transfer of live fish from one truck to another or to a freight container, etc.
In addition, the fish are put to sleep with CO2 before they are transported, thereby preventing any damage that would otherwise be caused by their rubbing against each other during transportation. The Gyokatsu Box can therefore be used to transport live fish without impairing their value.
